About the Role
Forte Prep seeks a Middle School ENL teacher for August 2027 who is passionate about building community, providing critical feedback, and creating a challenging, stimulating, and fun learning environment that offers students choices for their next level of education.
Responsibilities
- Plan and execute high-quality classroom lessons.
- Support the emotional and behavioral development of all students.
- Work collaboratively with other general education teachers and engage in co-planning.
Requirements
- Teaching experience in urban communities preferred.
- NY Certification to teach ENL students required.
- Demonstrated quantifiable and objective student performance gains that surpass state or local averages.
- Ability to work with a variety of learning abilities, including those with special needs and low skill level in a heterogeneously grouped classroom setting.
- Ability to communicate effectively with parents and community members.
- Highly Qualified as defined by No Child Left Behind.
