About the Role
In our dynamic and diverse consulting business, we are continuously growing and seeking individuals who want to contribute to challenging and complex IT projects. As a VMware expert focusing on VMware Cloud Foundation 9, you will play a central role in implementing modern private and hybrid cloud architectures.
Responsibilities
- Advise customers and be responsible for the architecture, planning, and implementation of VMware solutions with a focus on VMware Cloud Foundation 9.
- Design and technically implement VCF management and workload domains in greenfield and brownfield environments.
- Conceive consolidated, standard, and multi-cluster designs, considering scalability, operation, and lifecycle management.
- Take on technical leadership in projects and conduct architecture workshops, design reviews, and technical deep dives.
- Implement NSX-based network and security architectures, including micro-segmentation and distributed firewall.
- Be responsible for Day 2 operations, including lifecycle management, upgrades, patching, and enhancements and optimizations.
- Collaborate closely with customers, project teams, and presales, translating business requirements into robust VCF architectures.
Requirements
- Very good knowledge of VMware Cloud Foundation 9 and underlying technologies: vSphere, NSX, vSAN.
- Technical experience with VCF Operations / Aria Suite (Operations, Logs, Automation, Network Insight).
- Project experience in at least one of the following areas: VMware Cloud Foundation, NSX, VCF Operations.
- Required certifications: VMware vSphere Foundation Administrator, VMware Cloud Foundation Administrator.
- Ideally also the following certifications: VMware Cloud Foundation Architect, Advanced VMware Cloud Foundation 9.0 Automation, Advanced VMware Cloud Foundation 9.0 Operations, Advanced VMware Cloud Foundation 9.0 Networking, Advanced VMware Cloud Foundation 9.0 Storage, Advanced VMware Cloud Foundation 9.0 VKS.
- Experience with automation and IaC, knowledge of backup/DR/compliance concepts, and insights into hybrid cloud strategies are advantageous.
- Fluent German language skills (min. level C1), both written and spoken.
