About the Role
Saratoga Eagle Sales & Service, Inc. is seeking a Beverage Merchandiser to join their team. This role involves merchandising products, interacting with customers, and ensuring product availability in various client accounts. The company offers opportunities for growth and is a leading beverage distributor in New York State.
Responsibilities
- Greets store owner or manager to review specific instructions.
- Displays merchandise that meets customer’s needs, emphasizing selling points.
- Places new merchandise on display based on salesman instructions.
- Organizes customer’s back room.
- Repackages damaged packages and replaces them on shelves or coolers.
- Monitors and updates shelf tags.
- Takes inventory of stock and reports low volumes and out-of-stock situations.
- Assists with resets as needed.
- Maintains current and themed P.O.S. to ensure maximum account coverage.
- Adheres to all standards in the sales manual (rotation etc).
- Checks voicemail 3 to 4 times daily.
- Communicates with drivers and salesmen on a regular basis.
- Performs physical work and interacts with customers.
Requirements
- Excellent Customer Service Skills.
- Weekend work required.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Must have reliable transportation throughout work day.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
- Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, push or pull up to 250 pounds.
- Occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions.
- Frequently works in a refrigerated atmosphere.
- Travels to various client accounts; such as, convenient stores and grocery stores.
