About the Role

Reporting to the Primary Health Care Health Services Manager, the Administrative Assistant provides confidential administrative support, works within an administrative team environment, and acts as a liaison between managers, Primary Health Care Director and site employees. The Administrative Assistant provides primary health care administrative support to network and zone initiatives/committees as related to the Health Services Manager and Health Services Lead positions and holds the role of payroll Time Administrator. The Administrative Assistant ensures that the principles and practices that guide our work such as the vision, mission, values, expected behaviors, the leadership philosophy, organizational health, population health, ethics, safety, quality, partnerships and interprofessional collaboration are integrated within the support that is provided by the work that they do and through the messages they deliver.

Responsibilities

  • Provides confidential administrative support.
  • Acts as a liaison between managers, Primary Health Care Director and site employees.
  • Provides primary health care administrative support to network and zone initiatives/committees.
  • Holds the role of payroll Time Administrator.
  • Ensures principles and practices guiding the organization are integrated into daily work.

Requirements

  • Graduate of a recognized office administration program/business program/secretarial program.
  • Minimum of three years of administrative experience OR a combination of equivalent education, training, and experience.
  • Advanced working knowledge of computers required, including Windows, Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook and Database Programs.
  • High degree of initiative, diligence, attention to detail and self-discipline/focus required.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision required.
  • Proven team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
  • Demonstrated ability to respectfully work with a variety of inter-professional team members required.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, prioritizing and organizational skills.
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred.
  • Resume includes all relevant education, experience, training, and certifications.
