About the Role

This is a rare opportunity to make a decisive impact by shaping the technology strategy at a European level and influencing how a leading technology and services provider responds to market changes. As a European Chief Technologist, you will define the strategic direction for one or more technology areas, ensuring the portfolio, partner alignment, and customer loyalty remain relevant, differentiated, and growth-oriented.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement the vision and strategy for the respective Solution Area across Europe.
Identify market changes, customer needs, and competitor trends, translating them into actionable priorities and roadmaps.
Shape portfolio direction and investment plans in collaboration with Service Line teams and other stakeholders.
Lead and influence virtual teams across countries and service lines to align strategy, priorities, and execution.
Represent the technology area in European steering committees and executive forums.
Develop compelling thought leadership, customer messaging, and strategic resources to support sales and growth.
Collaborate with customers, partners, and analysts to strengthen Computacenter's market position and strategic relevance.
Support key business opportunities across the company by sharing insights, alignment, and technological expertise.

Requirements

Extensive experience in the IT industry, particularly in Cloud & Apps or Datacenter Solution Areas, with solid technical knowledge and business acumen.
Proven ability to develop technology strategies, visions, and roadmaps in a complex business environment.
Experience working with matrix structures and leading virtual teams through influence.
Comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders, customers, and partners.
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex ideas into clear strategic guidance.
Strategic thinking, sound judgment, and strong problem-solving skills.
Entrepreneurial mindset with the credibility to take on challenges, influence, and drive alignment.
Excellent communication skills in English.
