About the Role
As an Order Checker, you will ensure customer satisfaction by verifying orders, ensuring timely deliveries, and accurately managing stock. This role involves meticulous attention to detail in product verification, stock management, and vehicle loading.
Responsibilities
- Arrive at work daily as per schedule.
- Read small print of orders.
- Correctly verify product and count.
- Fix incorrect pieces and put away stock accurately.
- Load delivery vehicles.
- Accurately and efficiently load/unload materials from delivery and courier vehicles.
- Assist driving team to ensure on-time departure of deliveries.
- Answer phone calls when supervisors are unable to.
- Speak clearly and politely to customers in person or on the phone.
- Collaborate with supervisors for smooth hand-offs between departments.
- Identify and communicate ways to improve warehouse holding capacity.
- Ensure inventory is neat and organized.
- Maintain a neat and clean working environment.
- Maintain a professional, respectful, and collaborative attitude.
- Comply with all government and organizational rules, regulations, and policies.
Requirements
- 1+ years of experience working in a warehouse environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience using manual material handling equipment is an asset.
- Experience with plumbing parts and materials is an asset.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs repetitively.
- Able to be highly efficient and pay attention to detail.
- Experience suggesting and implementing changes to processes and procedures.
- Computer skills with the ability to send emails.
