About the Role

As Product Data Assistant, you will create and maintain product data essential for the Merchandising, Purchasing, and Digital teams. This detail-focused role involves ensuring accurate and timely setup of new collections, pricing, classification, and product imagery across all markets and brands.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain all product records in Mertex and the PIM, including product and SKU setup, hierarchy, attributes, descriptions, composition, dimensions, and status.
  • Maintain product classification data for reporting, such as pattern book codes, discount codes, seasonality, and product groups.
  • Perform routine system housekeeping, including discontinuations, status changes, and end-of-life product management.
  • Support new collection setup from design hand-over through to launch, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist with pricing maintenance, including cost and selling price uploads, annual price reviews, and seasonal recode and markdown uploads.
  • Administer the ‘specials’ process, ensuring requests are logged, set up correctly, and follow standard procedures.
  • Manage product imagery and assets, checking coverage, chasing missing images, and ensuring correct file naming and publishing.
  • Conduct routine data quality checks and audits, resolving exceptions for missing attributes, duplicates, incomplete SKUs, or products without images or prices.
  • Produce routine product data extracts and reports for Merchandising, Sales, and Supply Chain teams.
  • Identify repetitive manual tasks and collaborate with the Product Setup and Maintenance Manager to simplify or automate them.
  • Support e-commerce and Digital teams with product content and attributes for online launches.
  • Assist the USA office and other markets with product data queries and setup requests.
  • Undertake ad hoc projects, deputize for the Product Setup and Maintenance Manager, and perform other reasonable duties as assigned.
  • Uphold the Group’s health and safety standards and lead by example.

Requirements

  • Experience working with product, data, or administrative processes in a product-led business.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a high standard of accuracy when working with large volumes of data.

  • Well-organized with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines within a busy launch calendar.
  • Clear written and spoken communication skills.
