About the Role

The Director of Finance will own the company's overall financial performance across all operating branches. This is a build-and-own role where you will design reporting, controls, and forecasting, direct the full accounting function, and influence executive decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop company-wide financial strategy, planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Manage branch-level P&L and margin reporting.
  • Implement and maintain financial controls, approval workflows, and cost-tracking systems.
  • Oversee the entire accounting function, including AP/AR, payroll processing, reconciliations, and month-end close.
  • Manage the accounting team.
  • Optimize cash flow and manage banking and lender relationships.
  • Review vendor, insurance, and contract agreements.
  • Oversee revenue cycle management, tracking A/R days, denials, collections, and Medicare cost reporting.
  • Ensure financial practices comply with Medicare, Medi-Cal, and state regulatory requirements.
  • Deliver regular performance reporting and forecasts to ownership.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in a senior finance or controllership role with direct P&L ownership and team management.
  • Demonstrated track record of building financial systems, reporting tools, and internal controls.
  • Advanced financial modeling skills.
  • Expert Excel skills.
  • Working knowledge of GAAP.
  • Experience with multi-site or multi-entity close.
  • Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation for local branch travel.
