About the Role

You will define how Félix designs with generative and declarative UI, shipping the first version of the platform on WhatsApp, then expanding to native iOS and Android. You will lead the work that cuts across product management and design squads, shaping the user experience within conversations and across surfaces. This role involves defining the rules for declarative and generative UI, prototyping, and collaborating with product managers and engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead discovery across products, identifying reasons for user drop-off and conversation flow issues.
• Define design principles for generative and declarative UI, including model composition, fixed elements, and error recovery.
• Ship v1 on WhatsApp, defining patterns for native iOS and Android.
• Set the direction for conversation design, ensuring seamless product coexistence and user awareness of financial transactions.
• Collaborate with squad designers to integrate design direction into specific product areas.
• Incorporate compliance requirements (disclosures, consent) into the conversational experience.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience designing consumer products with a strong emphasis on craft.
• 2+ years of experience leading design for a conversational or AI-native product.
• Proven track record of leading cross-product discovery and influencing adopted direction.
• Hands-on experience with declarative UI, including understanding constraints, defaults, and recovery paths for model-assembled interfaces.
• Experience with generative UI is a plus.
• Ability to range from pixel-level design to strategic thinking.
• Deep Figma fluency and comfort with code-based prototyping.
• Shipped at least two mobile products end-to-end.
• Fluency with AI as a creative partner (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code).
• High tolerance for constraints including legal, risk, and model behavior.
• Willingness to share work early and invite critique.
• Portfolio link required, including a conversational or generative UI project with visible reasoning.
• Native or near-native Spanish proficiency is a plus.
• Experience in fintech or regulated domains, or with messaging surfaces like WhatsApp Business Platform is a plus.
