About the Role

This role supervises cleaning staff and ensures facilities are maintained to high standards. Responsibilities include task assignment, inspection of work, supply management, and employee support, while adhering to organizational policies and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Assign tasks to workers and inspect completed work for conformance to standards.
  • Issue supplies and equipment.
  • Resolve employee problems or refer matters to the manager.
  • Record employees' hours worked on shift reports.
  • Complete all necessary Building Maintenance (BM) checklists and/or documentation daily.
  • Submit requests for repair of cleaning equipment if requested by the Station Manager.
  • Requisition or purchase cleaning supplies and equipment if requested by the Station Manager.
  • Perform all duties of Building Maintenance Cleaners supervised.
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Train employees, plan, assign, and direct work.
  • Appraise performance, reward and discipline employees.
  • Address complaints and resolve problems.

Requirements

  • Must clock in/out at the beginning and end of the scheduled shift.
  • Proper uniform attire is required when reporting to work.
  • Safety measures must always be taken, including wearing mandatory Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) during assigned shifts and as part of the uniform.
  • Adhere to rules and regulations outlined in the Employee Handbook at all times.
  • Demonstrate respectful and helpful behavior to fellow employees, airline personnel, passengers, and other company employees working within the assigned area.
  • Must be capable of reading and understanding flight schedule(s).
  • Must fulfill FAA criminal background checks to qualify for unescorted access privileges to airport security identification display areas (SIDA), if applicable.
  • Must secure appropriate airport authority and/or US Customs security badges, if applicable.
  • A valid driver’s license is required by airport authority in order to operate a vehicle or equipment.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must have access to reliable transportation.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
