About the Role
National Aviation Services is seeking a dependable, professional Interior Aircraft Cleaner Supervisor to supervise and coordinate employees engaged in aircraft cleaning operations at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport. This position is responsible for supporting daily operations, assigning work, ensuring cleaning standards are met, and providing leadership and guidance to team members.
Responsibilities
- Assign tasks to employees and inspect completed work for conformance to established standards.
- Issue necessary supplies and equipment.
- Address employee concerns and/or refer matters to management as appropriate.
- Record employees’ hours worked on shift reports.
- Complete all required aircraft cleaning checklists and/or documentation on a daily basis.
- Submit requests for repair of cleaning equipment as needed.
- Request or purchase cleaning supplies and equipment when directed by the Station Manager.
- Perform the duties of Interior Aircraft Cleaners when operationally necessary.
- Train employees and assist with planning, assigning, and directing work.
- Support employee performance through coaching, guidance, and appropriate feedback.
- Assist with addressing workplace concerns and resolving operational issues.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age and authorized to work in the United States.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain appropriate airport authority and/or U.S. Customs security credentials, if applicable.
- Must successfully complete required FAA criminal background checks to qualify for unescorted access to airport Security Identification Display Areas (SIDA), if applicable.
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays based on operational needs.
- Must be available to work overtime on short notice when operationally necessary.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license when required by the airport authority to operate a vehicle or equipment.
- Ability to read and understand safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to communicate effectively with employees, customers, and other stakeholders.
- Basic computer skills, including familiarity with word processing, spreadsheet, and payroll systems.
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods during the assigned shift.
- Must be able to use hands and arms to handle, reach, and perform job-related tasks.
- Must be able to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl as necessary to perform assigned duties.
- Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
