About the Role
The Executive Director, Engagement Lead is a senior leader responsible for guiding high-impact organizational effectiveness engagements and advising senior leaders on complex transformation initiatives. This role translates organizational effectiveness principles into practical solutions to enhance performance, efficiency, and scalability, enabling enterprise strategy.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of complex organizational effectiveness engagements, accountable for outcomes, quality, and stakeholder alignment.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, helping define organizational strategies aligned to business priorities.
- Establish engagement scope, objectives, delivery plans, and governance.
- Manage stakeholder alignment, risks, and competing priorities to ensure successful execution.
- Lead organizational design and operating model initiatives, including structures, governance, roles, decision rights, and ways of working.
- Translate strategic objectives into practical, scalable organizational solutions.
- Leverage workforce planning and analytics insights to inform recommendations.
- Apply consistent methodologies while accommodating business-specific needs.
- Design and lead change strategies for large-scale transformation initiatives.
- Drive leadership alignment and sponsorship to support adoption and sustained outcomes.
- Oversee communication and engagement plans that build clarity, commitment, and momentum.
- Connect change efforts to measurable business outcomes and value realization.
- Establish disciplined delivery practices, including planning, governance, milestone tracking, and quality assurance.
- Proactively identify and mitigate delivery risks.
- Ensure alignment across concurrent initiatives and prevent duplication or conflicting design decisions.
- Maintain high standards for execution, quality, and results.
- Partner with HRBPs to integrate organizational design and workforce planning into strategic initiatives and ongoing business operations.
- Collaborate with People Experience Team leaders to ensure effective implementation and change adoption.
- Lead and develop Engagement Partners and cross-functional teams.
- Coach team members to strengthen consulting, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Model a pragmatic, results-oriented approach that balances strategy and execution.
- Contribute to the evolution of OE methodologies, tools, and playbooks.
Requirements
- 12–15+ years of progressive HR, Organizational Effectiveness, or related experience.
- Deep expertise in organizational design, operating models, and change management.
- Proven success leading complex enterprise transformation initiatives from design through implementation.
- Experience influencing senior leaders in a global, matrixed organization.
- Strong business acumen and ability to translate strategy into actionable organizational solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining quality and stakeholder trust.
- Exceptional judgment, discretion, and ability to navigate ambiguity.
