About the Role
As a Service Technician Intern, you will learn the various types of equipment United Rentals rents and their applications. You will also learn both manual and maintenance tasks to support branch operations and provide labor assistance to mechanics. This role offers daily opportunities for improvement and challenge, with potential for advancement to Service Technician roles upon degree and/or certification completion. You will be expected to provide exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Learn the various types of equipment United Rentals rents and their applications.
- Learn manual and maintenance tasks to support branch operations.
- Provide labor assistance to seasoned mechanics.
- Provide exceptional customer service to customers.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED and pursuing technical degree or certification.
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with foundational knowledge of tools and equipment.
- Self-motivated with a strong drive and sense of urgency.
- Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills.
- This position is deemed Safety Sensitive for purposes of United Rentals’ policies and procedures.
