About the Role

The Family Service Coordinator/Manager monitors ERSEA and Health practices, coordinates family services, promotes family wellness, builds community partnerships, and acts as a liaison between programs, classrooms, and home settings regarding family engagement, child development, and mental health services.

Responsibilities

  • Perform duties with a strong understanding of Head Start Program Performance Standards, local, state, and federal guidelines.
  • Supervise and support family service staff.
  • Develop systems for creating and submitting reports on ERSEA, family goal setting, and services provided.
  • Monitor compliance using electronic data management systems.
  • Establish and maintain communication with parents to ensure opportunities for active program involvement, participation, and crisis intervention.
  • Participate in team management functions including planning, implementation, and evaluation of the program.
  • Assist in facilitating the election process of the program's Governing body.
  • Perform other required duties.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or a related field.
  • 5 years of experience in Human Services, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Coursework in principles of social work, child development, counseling, and/or psychology.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to plan and carry out assignments independently.
  • Ability to prioritize, adhere to timelines, and multi-task.
  • Willingness and skills to deal with sensitive family situations professionally and non-threateningly.
  • Support families that predominantly speak Spanish or Bengali, and potentially others based on client needs.
