SIDES is the operating system for hospitality, providing a comprehensive platform for restaurants. We build the technology that keeps restaurants running smoothly, from POS systems to online ordering, ensuring reliability during peak times.

Responsibilities

Deliver features end-to-end in a cross-functional team, from ideation and design to implementation, rollout, and operations.
Work across the entire stack, from backend services to web frontend applications.
Use AI tools (e.g. Claude) responsibly and contribute to best practices within the team.
Ensure operational quality with a strong focus on performance, security, stability, scalability, and observability.
Contribute to architectural and design decisions together with the team.
Collaborate closely with other engineers through pair programming, code reviews, and knowledge sharing.
Follow and contribute to improving standards for testing, code quality, and CI/CD.
Build clean APIs, well-designed data models, and intuitive, high-performance frontend experiences.

Requirements

Several years of experience as a Full Stack Engineer.
Strong experience in backend development with PHP and/or Go, combined with hands-on experience in modern frontend development.
Ability and willingness to work across both backend (PHP/Go) and frontend technologies as part of a unified stack.
Pragmatic, solution-oriented mindset with a strong focus on quality.
Solid understanding of MySQL, relational data models, and API design.
Experience with AWS and containerized deployments; Kubernetes is a plus.
Good systems thinking across architectural and technological boundaries.
Independent, structured working style with strong analytical skills.
Fluency in English (required); German is a plus.
