About the Role

SIDES is the operating system for hospitality, providing a comprehensive platform for restaurants. We build the technology that keeps restaurants running, from POS systems to delivery and webshops, ensuring reliability during peak times.

Responsibilities

Deliver features end-to-end in a cross-functional team, from ideation and design to implementation, rollout, and operations
Work across the entire stack, from backend to frontend
Use AI tools (e.g. Claude) responsibly and contribute to best practices within the team
Ensure operational quality with a strong focus on performance, security, stability, scalability, and observability
Contribute to architectural and design decisions together with the team
Collaborate closely with other engineers through pair programming, code reviews, and knowledge sharing
Follow and contribute to improving standards for testing, code quality, and CI/CD
Build clean APIs, well-designed data models, and high-performance user experiences

Requirements

Several years of experience as a Full Stack Engineer
Strong experience in backend development with PHP and/or Go, combined with hands-on experience in Flutter
Ability and willingness to work across both backend (PHP/Go) and frontend (Flutter) as part of a unified stack
Pragmatic, solution-oriented mindset with a strong focus on quality
Solid understanding of MySQL, relational data models, and API design
Experience with AWS and containerized deployments; Kubernetes is a plus
Good systems thinking across architectural and technological boundaries
Independent, structured working style with strong analytical skills
Fluency in English (required); German is a plus
