About the Role
Oversees and monitors gaming operations on a shift basis, establishing a safe and welcoming work environment. Ensures adherence to policies and procedures, implements new gaming initiatives, and leads by example to create great experiences for guests and colleagues.
Responsibilities
- Supports Great Canadian and One Toronto culture and team philosophy.
- Reviews game spread and staffing levels, providing recommendations to management.
- Ensures compliance with gaming policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Collaborates with leadership to lead a team focused on table games, player development, and guest experience.
- Manages team performance, including incident investigations, coaching, and discipline.
- Reviews internal security of table games and maintains surveillance.
- Maintains confidentiality of proprietary information.
- Ensures prompt notification of illegal acts or ethics violations.
- Participates in the implementation of Table Games strategic plans and initiatives.
- Provides leadership, direction, and mentoring to the table games team.
- Assists in overseeing gaming operations on a shift basis.
- Prepares and submits table games operation reports.
- Evaluates business conditions and adjusts staffing levels accordingly.
- Manages the full recruitment cycle for team members and supervisors.
- Provides training and career development opportunities.
- Distributes cards and equipment to pits.
- Inspects casino equipment and follows repair/replacement procedures.
- Responds to and resolves employee relations matters and guest concerns professionally.
- Reports irregularities, disputes, and suspicious activities.
- Liaises and communicates effectively with operational departments.
- Anticipates and resolves operational and service issues.
- Develops and cultivates strong working relationships with stakeholders.
- Offers the highest possible level of guest service.
- Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety, and statutory regulations.
- Supports the GEM program with team member awareness and guest satisfaction measurement.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of Management or Supervisory experience in a comparable Gaming establishment required.
- Post-Secondary education or a suitable combination of education and experience an asset.
- Knowledge and experience in a variety of table games required.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach and mentor team members.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolutions skills.
- People-focused and committed to service excellence.
- Proactive and solution-oriented with a drive to succeed.
- Ability to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely, effective and service oriented communication.
- Computer literacy in MS Office.
- Ability to obtain registration as a Category 1 Gaming Assistant with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario.
- Bilingual (English/French) is an asset but not required.
