Responsibilities
- Operate and further develop virtualized Linux server infrastructure.
- Host applications with Docker Compose and Kubernetes, supporting development teams in reliable operation.
- Automate deployment and operations with Ansible, Puppet, and GitLab Pipelines.
- Further develop pipelines and support automated, traceable deployments with development teams.
- Administer NGINX, Apache, PostgreSQL, and MySQL.
- Monitor systems with Prometheus, Grafana, and the Elastic Stack.
- Analyze disruptions based on metrics and logs, and improve application stability with development teams.
- Design and operate firewalls, VPN, and network segmentation.
- Perform patch management.
- Support audit preparation according to BSI IT-Grundschutz and conduct individual checks.
- Communicate fluently in German and proficiently in English.
Requirements
- Completed studies in Computer Science or Engineering, or a comparable vocational training (e.g., IT specialist).
- Experience in both software development and IT operations.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and operating containerized applications.
- Extensive experience in administering Linux servers and systems, particularly Ubuntu and Debian.
- Good scripting skills (e.g., Bash or Python).
- Ability to systematically isolate technical disruptions and clearly document solutions.
