About the Role
Join our Finance Team to support young people worldwide in implementing their ideas for a sustainable future. If you love numbers, structure, and clean processes, this role is for you.
Responsibilities
- Perform preparatory accounts receivable and accounts payable accounting.
- Support accounts receivable management and internal approval processes.
- Participate in operational planning, including financial and earnings planning, and liquidity management.
- Ensure the quality of ongoing preparatory accounting and review invoices and payment lists.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements according to HGB.
- Record and prepare data, create target-actual comparisons, and perform variance analyses.
- Manage financial aspects of third-party funded projects, including usage statements and fund requisitions according to funding guidelines.
- Maintain regular communication with fellows.
- Serve as a point of contact for external financial service providers (accounting firms, tax advisors, banks) and auditors.
Requirements
- Completed commercial apprenticeship, university degree or Bachelor's degree in business administration or public administration, or a comparable qualification.
- Two to three years of professional experience in finance or accounting.
- Ideally, experience in managing third-party funds.
- Very good numerical understanding and a structured, meticulous, and goal-oriented approach to work.
- Proactive initiative and enjoyment in collaboratively improving existing processes within the team.
- Proficient in MS Office and Google Sheets, especially Excel.
- Strong communication skills.
