About the Role
Humber River Health is seeking a Clerical Support Associate for the Child & Adolescent OP Clinic within the Mental Health and Addictions team. This role is crucial in providing essential clerical support and customer service to ensure efficient clinic operations.
Responsibilities
- Provide clerical support including patient registration and discharge.
- Maintain patient records, enter orders, and manage statistics.
- Offer customer service, including scheduling appointments and updating schedules.
- Respond to patient and telephone inquiries courteously.
- Greet patients and visitors in a professional manner.
- Provide clerical support for program duties such as room bookings and meeting minutes.
- Manage stocking and ordering of supplies.
- Facilitate OTN services.
- Communicate effectively with other departments and service areas.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Minimum 1 year of full-time equivalent recent clerical experience, preferably in a mental health care setting.
- Good keyboarding skills with a minimum typing speed of 40 WPM.
- Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong interpersonal skills, both oral and written.
- Good organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize a varied and busy workload.
- Demonstrated ability to cope with tight deadlines, frequent interruptions, and emergency situations.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a team environment.
- Demonstrated customer service skills.
- Excellent attendance and discipline-free record.
- Applicants may be required to successfully complete full administrative testing, including typing speed and MS Office proficiency.

- MEDITECH computer experience (asset)
- Knowledge of a second language (asset)
