About the Role
As a Real Estate Coverage Specialist, you will support the execution of the sales strategy and capital raising for global Real Estate strategies in the EMEA region. This includes fund marketing, SMAs, and co-investment syndication. You will also develop fund sales plans, build relationships with internal distribution partners, track prospects, and support capital closing by managing follow-ups and due diligence requests. Additionally, you will deliver specialist content for RFPs, provide sales support to the generalist sales team, assist with marketing strategy, manage Investor Relations activities, and stay informed about industry trends and competitor analysis.
Responsibilities
- Support the execution of the sales strategy and capital raising across global Real Estate strategies in the EMEA region, supporting fund marketing, SMAs, and co-investment syndication.
- Support the development of fund sales plans for Real Estate, working closely with EMEA Real Estate Specialist team and colleagues across generalist Sales, Investments and Product divisions.
- Develop strong productive relationships with internal distribution partners.
- Track and follow with prospects either directly or through the generalist sales teams.
- Support the closing of capital through leading prospect follow ups and due diligence requests.
- Deliver specialist content for RFPs by coordinating and working with real estate key partners including portfolio management, transactions, asset management and ESG teams.
- Support the broader DWS generalist sales team with specialist sales support towards Real Estate strategies.
- Work with Head of Coverage EMEA Real Estate on marketing strategy including branding, events and conference, webinar programmes, attending relevant conferences.
- Manage Investor Relations activities, including LP engagement, LP Advisory Committee meetings including Fund AGMs and Annual Investor Conference, participating in LP presentations, working with product development on any legal documentation changes and appropriate liaison with LPs.
- Remain abreast of industry trends and themes and competitor analysis for relevant products.
Requirements
- Sound knowledge/experience within the Real Estate investment industry and dealing with institutional investors and their advisors.
- Experience of Distribution, Investor Relations, Client Relationship Management and/or Investment Marketing would be advantageous.
- Experience of utilising Real Estate subject matter expertise in contributing to the production of specialist investment content for RFP and DDQ activity to support capital formation strategies.
- Strong networking skills and proactive approach to working with colleagues across the business, but equally adept at working autonomously.
- Highly structured approach with project management skills and strong analytical skills using Excel.
- Excellent written skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to connect and build strong relationships with others, highly developed verbal and presentation skills.
