Responsibilities
- Washes dishes, glassware, pots, pans, cups, glasses, flatware, kitchen items, and equipment.
- Stores clean dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment.
- Sweeps and mops kitchen work areas and storage rooms.
- Maintains cleanliness of restaurant garbage receptacles, dumpster area, and boxes.
- Completes cleaning tasks within the kitchen, storage areas, and employee cafeteria.
- Maintains interior and exterior cleanliness of ice machines and storage bins.
- Cleans and mops the kitchen.
- Collects garbage and breaks down boxes from back of house areas, employee cafeteria, and storage rooms.
- Cleans indoor and outdoor garbage receptacles, dumpster and dumpster areas, carts, coolers, shelving, counters, and racks.
- Cleans the kitchen dishwashing machine regularly.
- Stores cleaned dish items neatly and maintains organization of cutlery, plate wear, kitchen utensils, and small wares.
- Assists cooks with prep work as needed.
- Performs general cleaning, stocking, and maintenance of kitchen and employee cafeteria equipment.
- Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
- Ensures sanitizer levels on dish machine and pot sinks are maintained.
- Maintains soap and paper towel dispensers at kitchen and restaurant workstations.
- Stocks supplies such as food, dishes, and utensils.
- Assists with accepting delivery items and storage.
- Communicates repair needs, utilizes wet floor signs, and alerts management of safety hazards.
- Completes tasks in a safe manner with proper use of tools and equipment.
- Role models company guest service program and maintains professional interactions.
- Must be certified in the approved, on-premises responsible alcohol service program.
- Communicates with management before punching out or going on breaks.
- Manages time and tasks efficiently, remains active and available.
Requirements
- Must be able to obtain a New York State Gaming License.
- Weekends, Holidays, overnight and swing shifts may be required.
- Scheduled shifts may vary based on operational needs.
- Reports to work on time and prepared for work.
- Approaches all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
- Maintains high standards of personal appearance and grooming.
- Reports to work in a clean uniform and worn as defined in the SHM handbook.
- Responds consistently and urgently to radio requests by associates and management.
- Adheres to SHM handbook policies, standards, and personal conduct standards.

Education Level
- High school diploma or equivalency degree preferred.
