About the Role
Join our international team at Berlin Metropolitan School to shape engaging afternoon programs for children and adolescents, fostering play, movement, creativity, and personal projects.
Responsibilities
- Accompany children and adolescents in an age-appropriate manner, supporting their development into independent personalities and their experience as part of a community.
- Foster their curiosity, creativity, and joy of movement.
- Develop and lead projects and activities for the after-school and holiday program, including areas like art, literature, theater, music, science, sports, and creative design.
- Support children in developing social skills and respectful interaction.
- Strengthen their motor, physical, and mental abilities.
Requirements
- Completed training as a state-recognized educator, a degree in social pedagogy, or a comparable qualification acquired abroad.
- Professional experience in a care or educational institution is desirable.
- Experience in inclusion and in planning and organizing educational offers or holiday programs is also desirable.
- Approach children with empathy and respect, enjoy teamwork, and communicate clearly.
- Organize your tasks reliably and are proficient with MS Office.
- Possess very good German and English language skills for working in our international school environment.
- Reflect on your pedagogical work and contribute to joint quality development.
