About the Role
We empower our clients to navigate unprecedented change within the public sector and healthcare industries. Responsibilities
- Collaborate on conceptual and operational tasks in demanding client projects within the public sector.
- Support clients in developing efficient administrative structures, effective processes, and robust management approaches.
- Contribute to projects focused on efficient administration, including process analysis and optimization, standardization, task consolidation, and organizational realignment, utilizing data, automation, and AI.
- Assist with initiatives in administrative culture and personnel, particularly in modernizing HR practices, strategic personnel management, and fostering collaboration, learning, and adaptability.
- Support the design of a citizen- and business-centric state by structuring requirements and translating them into practical concepts and implementation strategies.
- Develop presentations, decision memos, documentation, and graphical materials for clients at the intersection of politics and administration.
- Support workshops, interviews, and working sessions with clients and stakeholders from administration, politics, business, and civil society.
- Contribute to the development of our consulting portfolio in the public sector, focusing on state modernization, bureaucracy reduction, service quality, personnel strategy, management, knowledge management, and quality/innovation management.
Requirements
- Completed university degree, preferably in Business Administration, Public Management, Economics, Public Policy, Public Law, Business Informatics, Industrial Engineering, Psychology, or a related STEM field. MPA, MPP, MBA, or PhD are welcome but not required.
- First practical experience in demanding work environments and a strong interest in state and administrative modernization (e.g., through internships, working student roles, research, or early career experience in management consulting, ministries, social insurance, or public companies).
- Interest in making the state and administration faster, more effective, efficient, and citizen-friendly.
- Enjoyment of analytical, structural, and conceptual challenges, with the ability to present complex issues clearly and actionably.
- Empathy for the perspectives of public sector employees, especially during change processes.
- Meticulous, reliable, and team-oriented work style, with a willingness to quickly learn new topics, administrative structures, and political frameworks.
- High performance, learning ability, and commitment to achieving excellent results even under complex conditions.
- Good understanding of the specific requirements of public administration, including decision-making processes, coordination needs, and the importance of viable implementation concepts.
- Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; experience with digital collaboration, process modeling, or data analysis tools is advantageous.
- Native-level German language skills are required for project work.
