About the Role
Legartis is seeking an individual to translate customer needs into AI functionalities for their contract work platform. This role involves understanding legal workflows, defining engineering requirements, building AI skills, and ensuring repeatability for sales and customer success teams. The position also serves as the legal authority within the company.
Responsibilities
- Translate customer reality into engineering requirements and revenue.
- Coach customers hands-on during trials and hackathons.
- Answer customer objections with concrete paths and next steps.
- Document actual workflows, identify breaking points, and define customer pain points.
- Write specifications, edge cases, and acceptance criteria for Engineering.
- Build, test, and ship agent skills and playbooks.
- Develop evaluation frameworks and test sets to measure skill improvement.
- Diagnose AI failures at the prompt and context level.
- Turn one-off customer solutions into repeatable processes for Sales and Customer Success.
- Create standard demo environments and a skill library.
- Develop onboarding processes that reduce implementation time.
- Provide legal and compliance support, including contract reviews and data protection questions.
- Utilize the company's product for internal legal tasks and provide feedback on its effectiveness.
Requirements
- Proven technical track record with built and published work.
- Fluency with LLMs, understanding of context windows and prompt functionality.
- Ability to troubleshoot system issues directly.
- Scripting, Git, and API experience are a strong plus.
- Law degree with a commercial-contracts focus (German-qualified or equivalent).
- Hands-on experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating German commercial contracts.
- Ability to converse with General Counsel as a peer.
- Commercial and entrepreneurial track record, with experience managing a client base, legal tech product, or startup.
- Experience supporting enterprise sales teams in demos, pilots, and expert calls, with a focus on influencing outcomes.
- Prioritization based on impact.
- Comfort with making decisions without explicit permission.
- Preference for shipping imperfect solutions quickly over elegant solutions later.
- Excellent German and English language skills.
- Ability to lead meetings with legal buyers, ask pertinent questions, and write precise specifications.
- Other EU languages are a plus.
