About the Role

As a Solution Architect, you will bridge business and technology, developing software architectures from complex requirements that are both technically sound and meet business needs. You will guide clients from initial problem definition through solution design to agile implementation, working on e-commerce solutions, web applications, DXP, integrations, and cloud architectures. AI and GenAI will be utilized where they offer concrete added value and can be operated safely, economically, and reliably.

Responsibilities

Clarify goals, requirements, and framework conditions with clients, considering quality requirements like scalability, security, and operation from the outset.
Translate requirements into technical target architectures, developing architecture diagrams, API and integration concepts, and preparing technical decisions comprehensibly.
Compare solution options and evaluate technologies and existing system landscapes based on benefits, risks, and effort, making goal conflicts transparent to create a sound basis for decisions.
Contribute expertise in client workshops and pitch phases, accompanying architecture from conception to implementation.
Collaborate closely with development, product ownership, project management, and sales, supporting teams with technical perspectives on decisions, roadmap structuring, and effort estimations.
Examine AI and GenAI use cases for business value and feasibility, designing integration into existing systems considering data, data protection, quality, costs, and operation.
Utilize AI-powered development tools to enhance development processes or improve result quality.

Requirements

Experience in conceptualizing software solutions and guiding technical architecture decisions through to implementation.
Ability to document architecture concepts clearly and assess system designs, APIs, integrations, and data flows soundly.
Solid experience in at least one relevant area such as E-commerce, Web Applications, DXP, Cloud, or distributed systems, with a willingness to learn adjacent topics.
Clear and comprehensible explanation of technical options and their impact on quality, security, effort, and operation.
Confident moderation skills, clear communication with diverse stakeholders, and enjoyment of collaboration with clients and development teams.
Practical experience with AI tools and realistic assessment of GenAI use cases regarding benefits, feasibility, and risks.
