About the Role
As a Working Student System Administration, you will be the point of contact for all hardware and software issues, supporting the Helpling team with IT infrastructure questions in our Berlin office. You will contribute to the provisioning and maintenance of our Windows and OSX environments, manage local networks, and assist with troubleshooting and documentation. You will also have the opportunity to improve workflows through automation, contribute to IT security by managing backups and defending against cyber attacks.
Responsibilities
- Support the provisioning and maintenance of Windows- and OSX-based environments.
- Manage local networks and support troubleshooting, analysis, and documentation.
- Improve existing workflows through customized automation.
- Contribute to IT security by warding off cyber attacks and creating backups.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled as a student.
- Familiarity with help desk user support.
- Familiarity with Google Workspace.
- Familiarity with setting up VLAN and VPN.
- Familiarity with Windows and OSX systems.
- Ideally, possess first knowledge of a programming language.
- Reliable, motivated, and able to juggle multiple inquiries.
- Reside in Berlin/Brandenburg.
- Able to work up to 20 hours per week.
- Very good English language skills are a must.
- German language skills are a plus.
