About the Role

As the Product Owner, you will play a key role in conveying the vision of the business stakeholders to an Agile team, accountable for delivering on approved initiatives. You will take direction from business stakeholders and lead Agile Teams in delivering initiatives from the backlog that align to strategy and meet current and future goals and needs.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the development of roadmaps and deliver solutions that maximize value.
  • Apply incremental delivery principles to drive the delivery of business value, communicate progress, elicit feedback, and enable stakeholder reviews to validate processes.
  • Maintain a good understanding of business partners, their expectations, needs, and points of pain to effectively communicate this knowledge to the development team to focus on deliverables and priorities.
  • Act as an advocate for clients/users by owning issues, forming solutions, and defining outcomes as you move the delivery of the roadmap to completion.
  • Serve as the primary source of information for the team, offering clear definitions of the targeted capability, the intended value to the customer, and all requirements.

Requirements

  • Three to five years of experience in project and change management in a product owner or business system/analyst capacity.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships with team members as well as both internal and external stakeholders at various levels.
  • Subject to a background check as a condition of employment.

  • Strong understanding and demonstrated experience working in an agile environment.
  • Innovative mindset to improve operational efficiencies and ability to influence change, with a primary focus on client needs.
  • Critical thinking skills to recognize assumptions, evaluate arguments, draw conclusions, and proactively propose solutions.
  • Strong communication skills to clearly convey messages and explore diverse points of view.
  • Ability to build trusting relationships and provide guidance to support the development of colleagues.

Education Level

  • Post-secondary degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Technology (IT), Computer Science or a related discipline.

Salary/Compensations

  • $91,058.00 to $151,764.00 CAD
