About the Role

As a corporate receptionist, you will strive to achieve outstanding customer experiences for visitors, tenants, and guests, representing St James and its clients. You will take full responsibility for the reception area, collaborate with the team to maintain high standards, and enhance the community ethos. This role involves working closely with the building manager and taking over from security in the morning. You should be creative, unafraid of challenges, and ready to take charge of the reception area.

Responsibilities

  • Take full ownership and accountability of the reception and all associated areas, ensuring they are kept in the best possible order.
  • Liaise with security, cleaners, facilities, and other departments as necessary.
  • Ensure the St James folder, manual, occupier’s procedures, and phone database are up to date.
  • Deliver monthly reports and appropriate FOH data as and when required.
  • Challenge existing ways of working to improve and develop services, aiming for the highest possible customer experience and engagement.
  • Build strong relationships with tenants, clients, guests, and visitors by acting as the first point of contact.
  • Provide a welcoming and professional service.
  • Manage visitor sign-ins and direct guests to the relevant floors.
  • Respond confidently to questions, queries, and feedback.
  • Handle calls and messages efficiently, remaining calm and professional.
  • Be flexible and responsive to unforeseen circumstances.
  • Manage orders and ensure adequate stock levels are maintained.
  • Organize and coordinate monthly events and pop-ups, including planning, liaising with relevant parties, managing arrangements, and creating promotional posters and event materials.
  • Create and lead on the events calendar, pop-ups, and freebies for the buildings.
  • Create a monthly newsletter.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in delivering exceptional customer service is essential.
  • Must be a driven and proactive individual to handle tasks effectively and professionally.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Flexible working with a range of styles and personalities according to business demands.
  • Excellent punctuality.
  • Outgoing and a can-do/proactive attitude.
  • Experience of using Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, and Excel is essential.
