About the Role
The Optus Summer Internship Program offers a 3-month immersive experience from November 2026 to February 2027, designed to equip interns with the skills and confidence to contribute to how millions of Australians connect daily. This program provides a head start in a career focused on innovation and customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Supports financial decision-making, including performance analysis, commercial insights and customer-focused growth initiatives.
- Manages customer billing, payments, credit risk and revenue assurance to ensure accurate and timely cash collection.
- Leads financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and performance reporting to support business decisions.
- Provides finance support and analysis across network investments and consumer products and services.
- Manages core finance operations, including financial transactions, reporting, controls and process improvements.
Requirements
- Be an Australian Citizen, New Zealand Citizen or Permanent Resident.
- Be an enthusiastic and dedicated learner currently in your penultimate (2nd or 3rd) year or final year of tertiary studies.
- Be willing to work predominantly from our state-of-the-art campus in Sydney, Macquarie Park.
- Be available for the full duration of the program, commencing November 2026 and concluding February 2027.
