About the Role
As Bid & Proposal Manager at ARX Robotics, you will own our global tender processes end-to-end, from identifying and qualifying opportunities to building compliant submissions and handing awarded contracts over to after-sales teams. You will be the central point of contact for procurement activities, keeping complex bids on track by coordinating with Legal, Sales, Finance, and Tech, translating requirements into workstreams, and ensuring timely submissions that accurately represent ARX Robotics.
Responsibilities
- Build a reliable end-to-end tender process, from opportunity monitoring and qualification through submission, award, and handover.
- Systematically screen tender platforms and procurement portals, providing go/no-go recommendations.
- Create high-quality, compliant bid submissions by coordinating technical, commercial, and legal documentation.
- Maintain a dependable bid calendar with internal milestones, review gates, and submission deadlines.
- Align closely with Legal on tender terms and compliance, and with Finance on pricing and commercial terms.
- Collaborate with Tech to translate customer requirements into bid content.
- Develop a structured library of reusable bid content and company documentation.
- Conduct structured post-tender reviews and debriefs to inform future bids and strategies.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in tender management, bid management, public procurement, or strategic/operational consulting, ideally in defence, security, aerospace, public infrastructure, or a comparable regulated sector.
- Proven experience with public sector or governmental procurement processes and formal tender requirements (e.g., EU procurement procedures, NATO/framework tendering, national defence procurement).
- Structured, hands-on, deadline-driven work style with the ability to manage multiple tenders concurrently.
- Strong attention to detail when working with formal criteria and submission requirements.
- Confidence in coordinating cross-functional stakeholders and holding them to shared deadlines.
- Clear, precise writing skills with the ability to make technical content readable.
- Solid commercial understanding, including pricing logic, cost structures, and contractual terms.
- Awareness of compliance, export control, and confidentiality requirements in a defence context.
- Fluent German and English, both written and spoken (German is essential).
