About the Role

You have the opportunity to support our veterinary team on a mini-job basis, specifically seeking reinforcement for selected day and night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Consult with pet owners regarding their animals' health concerns, including emergencies, via video chat and phone.
• Independently handle initial inquiries and assess further treatment needs.
• Clearly communicate resulting treatment recommendations.
• Create referrals to veterinary clinics, specialists, or primary veterinarians when necessary.
• Document consultations and treatment recommendations.

Requirements

• Veterinarian with a completed veterinary medicine degree and at least 3 years of clinical or 5 years of practice experience, particularly in small animal medicine.
• Ability to independently conduct consultations via video and phone and confidently handle initial medical inquiries.
• Capacity to clearly and confidently convey assessments and recommendations without direct physical contact with the animal.
• Strong communication skills, empathy, high social competence, and a confident demeanor.
• Good IT skills are advantageous.
• Initial experience in telephone or telemedicine consultation is desirable but not a prerequisite.
• Ability to regularly cover one or more of the currently open shifts and reliably contribute to the scheduling.
