About the Role
This permanent, part-time Careers Consultant position (21 hours per week) sits within the Careers Consultant team and contributes to embedding career-focused learning and professional experience across the curriculum, ensuring every undergraduate is career ready. The role also involves delivering core careers activities, including one-to-one guidance and group sessions for students from all disciplines and levels.
Responsibilities
- Designing and delivering career-focused learning within academic modules
- Working closely with academic colleagues
- Applying pedagogical approaches to employability
- Delivering lectures to large student groups
- Using learning design principles to create engaging, impactful content
- Supporting students and graduates in developing their career plans
Requirements
- Legal background or interest in working with law students
- Experience in careers advisory roles
- Career changers who can demonstrate relevant skills
- Strong knowledge of the UK graduate labour market
- Relevant professional experience
