About the Role
The Sana Klinikum Lichtenberg is an academic teaching hospital of Charité and one of the largest hospitals in the capital with 676 beds. Responsibilities
- Prepare and process samples for histological and cytological examinations, and support sample preparation at the Lichtenberg and Marzahn locations.
- Perform staining, cut blocks on the microtome, and operate and maintain various laboratory equipment in the histology lab.
- Ensure quality and document all laboratory processes according to legal and internal requirements.
- Collaborate closely with physicians and other departments.
- Assist with the macroscopic processing (cutting) of submitted surgical specimens.
Requirements
- Completed training as a Medical Laboratory Assistant.
- Professional experience in pathology or interest in further training in this field.
- Knowledge of histological and cytological techniques is advantageous.
- Teamwork skills, reliability, and a high degree of initiative.
- Careful and structured way of working.
- Good IT skills, especially in handling laboratory software.
