About the Role
We Are Era is seeking a finance professional to own and continuously improve end-to-end financial processes, coordinate accounting and reporting with the Shared Service Center and relevant RTL Group finance functions, and ensure effective use and continuous improvement of SAP S/4HANA across Finance processes. The role involves leading and developing the local Accounting team, coordinating closing processes, statutory financial statements, and audits, and acting as a key interface between various stakeholders. This position will drive process improvements, internal controls, automation, and Finance transformation initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Own and continuously improve end-to-end financial processes.
- Coordinate accounting and reporting topics with the Shared Service Center and relevant RTL Group finance functions.
- Ensure effective use and continuous improvement of SAP S/4HANA across Finance processes.
- Lead and develop the local Accounting team.
- Coordinate monthly, quarterly and annual closing processes in close collaboration with the RTL Shared Service Center.
- Coordinate statutory financial statements and the annual audit (JAP) with KPMG.
- Act as key interface between the business, Shared Service Center, RTL Group finance functions, auditors and tax advisors.
- Drive process improvements, internal controls, automation and Finance transformation initiatives.
Requirements
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or comparable qualification.
- 5–8 years of relevant experience in Accounting, Audit, Finance Operations or Financial Process Management.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end finance processes, with experience in process design, optimization and stakeholder management across Finance and the wider organization.
- Hands-on SAP S/4HANA knowledge beneficial.
- Experience with monthly and annual closing processes and ideally working with a Shared Service Center.
- Experience working with auditors and tax advisors.
- First leadership experience and strong stakeholder-management skills.
- Structured, hands-on and process-oriented mindset with an interest in automation and AI in Finance.
