About the Role
Responsible for ensuring guests are cordially attended to and performing routine duties to provide a clean and well-stocked dining room during meal periods in accordance with Parkhurst standards and procedures under strict sanitary conditions.
Responsibilities
- Acknowledge guests immediately with a friendly greeting.
- Learn menu and daily specials, communicating closely with management.
- Handle all POS transactions ethically and according to company policies.
- Accurately make change for cash-paying guests and maintain proper cash drawer balance.
- Post necessary signage and merchandise service areas.
- Price and stock all grab and go items.
- Bus tables and help maintain cleanliness.
- Restock and organize areas surrounding check-out counters.
- Ensure sufficient cups and glasses are present and remove empty glass racks.
- Ensure soda machines are iced down before and after each service period.
- Prepare service line for operation as instructed by management.
- Serve guests in a friendly, professional manner, practicing portion control.
- Communicate with kitchen staff to maintain adequate food supply.
- Check food quality for taste, appearance, and temperature standards.
- Follow production sheets to establish proper serving utensils.
- Follow cleaning schedule using “clean as you go” techniques.
- Maintain open communication with management regarding needed products and supplies.
- Follow uniform dress code and maintain proper personal hygiene.
- Follow all Parkhurst Hospitality Gold Standards.
- Assist fellow team members.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Ability to perform each essential function satisfactorily.
- Standing and/or walking - 100% of time.
- Occasionally lifting up to 40 lbs.
- Frequently lifting up to 20 lbs.
