About the Role
The House Person is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of guest rooms, public spaces, and offices, performing light maintenance duties, and providing excellent guest service.
Responsibilities
- Clean and inspect all public areas to ensure cleanliness standards are met and areas are guest ready.
- Assist room attendants with heavy items and deliver linens and supplies.
- Collect trash throughout the hotel.
- Respond to guest requests for housekeeping supplies in a timely manner.
- Perform carpet shampooing, floor stripping and waxing, and tile steam cleaning.
- Assist guests with the front door and baggage unloading.
- Perform minor maintenance tasks such as filter cleaning, light bulb replacement, pool chemical checks, and toilet plunging.
- Assist with housekeeping and laundry operations as needed.
- Assist with snow and ice removal as necessary.
- Ensure meeting rooms are set-up, clean, and ready for guest use.
- Adhere to safety standards and report or correct hazardous conditions.
- Wear proper uniform at all times.
- Familiarize with and adhere to the Associate Handbook and company policies.
Requirements
- Ability to communicate with guests in English is necessary.
- Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds; push and pull 100 pounds.
