About the Role
In the Application & Cloud division, we are passionate about software development/integration and cloud platforms. We support our clients from consulting through implementation and testing to continuous development using agile methodologies, focusing on the latest cloud-native architectures and technologies.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and manage complex cloud-native software solutions using current technologies and frameworks, identifying and incorporating AI/GenAI potential.
- Integrate software architecture with a stable platform.
- Advise clients on the introduction of cloud technologies, particularly Google Cloud, based on customer-specific requirements.
- Advise clients on the architecture, design, and implementation of their applications.
- Conceptualize and develop complex cloud-native solutions focusing on reliability, security, performance, and cost (e.g., with Spring Boot, Quarkus, Kafka, Kubernetes).
- Utilize cloud services (e.g., GKE, Cloud Run, Dataflow) and integrate them cleanly into your architecture.
- Lead international cloud engineering and/or development teams in customer projects.
- Support pre-sales and sales activities in the cloud-native area.
- Conduct feasibility studies and innovation projects, driving the advancement of our service portfolio.
- Collaborate closely with other national and international NTT DATA teams.
Requirements
- Strong expertise in software solutions and understanding of the underlying platform.
- Several years of experience in developing modern software (e.g., Java, Spring Boot, Quarkus).
- Experience in designing and building microservices architectures in the cloud.
- Extensive knowledge of Google's cloud ecosystem, demonstrated through hands-on projects.
- Several years of experience in the productive use of container platforms and serverless technologies (e.g., GKE, Cloud Run, Cloud Run Functions, DataFlow, Workflows).
- Comprehensive knowledge in implementing cloud-native tools for Continuous Integration & Delivery, Observability, and Security (e.g., GitLab, Jenkins, Prometheus, Grafana, or Trivy).
- Experience in technical leadership, mentoring, and coaching teams.
- Professional presentation skills to decision-makers and large audiences regarding IT architecture experiences and recommendations, backed by practical experience and strong methodological competence.
- Knowledge of current technology trends and an understanding of upcoming developments in the cloud sector.
- A degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable qualification.
- Strong communication skills.
- Very good German and English language skills.
