About the Role

In the Application & Cloud division, we are passionate about software development/integration and cloud platforms. We support our clients from consulting through implementation & testing to continuous development using agile methodologies, focusing on the latest cloud-native architectures and technologies.

Responsibilities

Conceive, develop, and manage complex cloud-native software solutions using current technologies and frameworks, identifying and incorporating AI/GenAI potential.
Combine software architecture with a stable platform.
Advise clients on the introduction of cloud technologies, particularly Microsoft Azure, based on customer-specific requirements.
Advise clients on the architecture, design, and implementation of their applications.
Conceive and develop complex cloud-native solutions focusing on reliability, security, performance, and cost (e.g., with Spring Boot, Quarkus, Kafka, Kubernetes).
Utilize cloud services (e.g., AKS, Azure Functions, Event Hubs) and integrate them seamlessly into your architecture.
Lead international cloud engineering and/or development teams in customer projects.
Support pre-sales and sales activities in the cloud-native area.
Conduct feasibility studies and innovation projects, driving the advancement of our service portfolio.
Collaborate closely with other national and international NTT DATA teams.

Requirements

Proficiency in software solutions and understanding of the underlying platform.
Several years of experience in developing modern software (e.g., Java, Spring Boot, Quarkus).
Experience in designing and building microservices architectures in the cloud.
Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Azure's cloud ecosystem, demonstrated through hands-on projects.
Several years of experience in the productive use of container platforms and serverless technologies (e.g., AKS, Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Event Hubs).
Comprehensive knowledge in implementing cloud-native tools for Continuous Integration & Delivery, Observability, and Security (e.g., GitLab, Jenkins, Prometheus, Grafana, Trivy).
Experience in functional leadership, mentoring, and coaching teams.
Professional presentation of experiences and recommendations to decision-makers and large audiences, backed by practical experience and strong methodological competence in IT architecture development.
Knowledge of current technology trends and an understanding of upcoming developments in the cloud sector.
A degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable qualification.
Strong communication skills and very good German and English language proficiency.
