About the Role
The Data Analyst I is responsible for implementing best information technology data management practices to improve data quality, streamline cleaning efforts, and deliver analyzable databases within project timelines.
Responsibilities
- Designs and writes custom applications to ensure the database meets requirements for data entry, management, and reporting.
- Assists in developing data management plans and guidelines for accurate, timely, and quality data, and assures quality control compliance.
- Identifies and implements solutions for data management issues during research studies.
- Assists staff with technical issues related to electronic and remote record-keeping systems and trains staff to improve data quality.
- Assists medical students, interns, residents, and/or program faculty with queries and statistical analyses.
- Maintains knowledge of current regulations and technologies related to data management.
- May write and prepare manuscripts and other materials for internal and external audiences.
- Performs other related duties.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in computer science, statistics, or a related field, or a combination of equivalent work experience and education.
- 2-3 years of database application/management experience, preferably in a large medical center or healthcare environment.
