About the Role

Polymer Capital Management is seeking a detail-oriented finance professional to provide corporate finance support for its entities, focusing on cost control, vendor payments, and month-end closing activities.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the corporate finance support for 1–2 Polymer corporate entities.
  • Manage cost control and allocation, with a particular focus on data and compensation cost, ensuring accurate allocation across corporate and fund entities.
  • Prepare and process vendor payments through the e-banking system, including invoice verification, duplication checks, tracking invoice status, and liaising with suppliers and Polymer affiliates.
  • Ensure funding is sufficient for operating activities and help utilize excess funding of responsible corporate entities.
  • Perform month-end closing activities in SAP for assigned entities.
  • Support management reporting, statutory audits, and tax filings for related corporate entities.
  • Maintain a robust and orderly filing system for the Finance Department, ensuring accounting records are complete, accurate, and up to date.
  • Support bank account opening processes and execution of vendor agreements, including coordination of required documentation and signatures.

Requirements

  • 3–7 years of relevant experience in the finance sector, preferably within multinational corporations, financial institutions, or from formal accounting training obtained at university level.
  • Prior exposure to corporate accounting functions is required.
  • Experience supporting Japan-related entities is highly preferred.
  • Strong experience in Japan entity accounting, including statutory audit coordination, funding requirements, and tax reporting.
  • Solid knowledge of IFRS; familiarity with Japan accounting standards is an advantage.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; strong working knowledge of Word and PowerPoint.
  • SAP experience is a plus.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken Japanese/English.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and multi-tasking abilities.
