About the Role

Improve patient health through an innovative, patient-focused culture dedicated to making a difference in the communities served.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the Infection Prevention and Control Program under the direction of the Network Director.
  • Implement and evaluate the infection control program, including survey readiness.
  • Implement a systematic approach to identify, measure, prioritize, and monitor infection control activities.
  • Ensure data integrity, prioritize improvements, decrease duplication, and ensure compliance with regulatory agencies.
  • Collaborate with staff, physicians, and leadership to improve quality of care.
  • Serve as Infection Control Officer and provide education and consultation.
  • Accomplish objectives, strategies, and tactics for the Infection Control program.
  • Monitor operating performance standards for the infection control program.
  • Assist the Director in reviewing financial performance trends and recommending corrective actions.
  • Establish timely and effective communication with staff regarding infection control findings.
  • Provide the operational link to functional work teams.
  • Collaborate with other managers, directors, and departments to meet organizational priorities.
  • Accept responsibility for all aspects of leadership.
  • Identify and correct systems, care, and service delivery problems.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory agency requirements.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks to safety.
  • Provide implementation support for new projects and develop sustainable plans.
  • Monitor departmental objectives and institute corrective actions.
  • Adopt a philosophy of continuous improvement and develop relationships to effect positive results.
  • Regularly assess opportunities to enhance system performance.
  • Develop and complete action plans to improve patient and employee satisfaction.
  • Take action to create a better patient experience across the continuum of care.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years hospital-based clinical experience in Nursing.
  • Preference given to those with experience in Infection Prevention and Control or Public Health.
