About the Role

The Business Management Manager leads the Business Management function for a specific sub-unit, focusing on delivering and improving its operations. This role involves strategic planning, financial control, headcount management, IT/Ops service management, facilities management, and business case coordination. The manager must synthesize diverse activities and insights for senior management, leading a Business Management team and liaising with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Advise Front Office on business management and control matters.
  • Develop and manage stakeholder relationships within and outside IBCM, including 2nd and 3rd line functions.
  • Lead change initiatives in IBCM, including planning, coordination, progress tracking, and escalation.
  • Manage IBCM strategy and productivity initiatives.
  • Oversee expense and cost management, including travel, gifts, entertainment, market data, and deal-related expenses.
  • Create and deliver senior management reports to support decision-making.
  • Update Key Operating Policies & Procedures to document current business processes.
  • Deliver and monitor remediation activities for IBCM APAC owned findings.
  • Proactively identify and implement level 1 control enhancements and automation.

Requirements

  • At least 7 years of relevant industry experience, ideally from a top-tier investment bank.
  • Understanding of IBCM business, including advisory and capital markets transactions.
  • Strong analytical skills and a strong finance/economic academic background.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to challenge existing processes and drive change and control processes.
  • Strong financial knowledge with strong Excel/PowerPoint skills.
  • Aptitude for advising senior management on risks, controls, and mitigation.
  • Ability to formulate and present information clearly and compellingly.
  • Ability to present complex and sensitive messages comprehensively, professionally, and in simple terms.
  • Proven ability to leverage AI tools for productivity and workflow optimization, applying critical judgment for responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs.
