About the Role
Daikin Applied is seeking a Strategic Pricing Manager to partner with key stakeholders in developing and executing pricing strategies that drive profitable growth, improve price realization, and maintain market competitiveness. This role provides strategic pricing guidance using market trends, customer insights, and financial analysis to support business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Identify pricing opportunities through market and financial analysis, and develop and execute pricing strategies that align with business objectives and drive profitable growth.
- Lead pricing analyses and recommendations related to price adjustments and new product launches while partnering with Finance and ISC to assess cost impacts, margin requirements, and commercial viability.
- Analyze price performance, including price realization, discounts, profitability, and customer economics to develop actionable recommendations.
- Develop and maintain pricing models, business cases, and financial analyses to support strategic initiatives and commercial decision-making.
- Present pricing performance, strategic initiatives, insights, and recommendations to senior leadership through recurring and ad hoc business reviews.
- Provide strategic pricing guidance and recommendations for significant commercial opportunities, national accounts, deal negotiations, and Pricing Approval Requests (PARs).
- Review and approve PARs, ensuring alignment with pricing policies, governance standards, profitability objectives, and delegated approval authority.
- Drive continuous improvement of pricing processes, governance, analytics, data integrity, and commercial effectiveness to enhance decision-making and operational effectiveness.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to balance customer value, market competitiveness, and business objectives while enhancing the overall commercial and customer experience.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in Business, Finance, Marketing, or equivalent experience.
- 4-6 + years specifically in pricing, commercial strategy, revenue management, or a closely relative field.
- Strong knowledge of pricing strategies, methodologies, and best practices that drive profitable growth, revenue expansion, and margin improvement.
- Experience leveraging market dynamics and value-based pricing principles to develop pricing recommendations, financial analyses, and business cases that support strategic business objectives and pricing decisions.
- Proficiency in pricing governance, approval processes, sales and commercial practices, including quoting, negotiations, contract structures, customer agreements, and deal economics.
- Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
- Advanced analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to synthesize large datasets and support strategic decision-making.
- Demonstrated ability to influence decision-making, build alignment, and foster collaboration across cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate insights and recommendations to senior leadership and executive stakeholders.
- Strong business acumen, strategic thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with experience working with large, complex datasets and utilizing pricing analytics, business intelligence, and reporting tools.
- Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
- Familiarity with B2B pricing practices within distribution, HVAC, and manufacturing environments.
- Understanding of ERP, CRM, and pricing systems (SAP, Salesforce, PROS, Vendavo, etc).
- Ability to travel up to 10% as business needs require.

- $100,800k - $171,700k and a bonus potential up to 15%
