Responsibilities

  • Build and execute an acquisition plan against an assigned new account list, treating marketing qualified leads as the primary lead source in conjunction with other proactive outreach activities.
  • Prospect proactively via calls, in-person visits, and targeted outreach to supplement inbound leads.
  • Build and maintain a qualified pipeline well in excess of sales targets.
  • Qualify and prioritize opportunities quickly; manage each deal from first contact through close/order.
  • Forecast accurately and keep opportunity data current in CRM.
  • Partner with Solution Engineers and Specialists to bring the right technical resources to each pursuit.
  • Establish relationships with economic, technical, and procurement stakeholders at each target account.
  • Run a discovery process to uncover needs and position Keysight solutions at both the executive and technical level.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of quota-carrying sales experience with a demonstrated record of new-customer acquisition and delivering above-planned growth.
  • Experience running a full & complex sales cycle and managing multiple stakeholders with limited account-management support.
  • Willingness for high levels of travel for prospecting and customer meetings.
  • Proven track record of developing new business opportunities and expanding market share.
  • Self-starter, comfortable operating independently against broad direction; treats the territory like their own business.
  • A sense of urgency, deadline, and results orientation.
  • Resilient with cold outreach and rejection — qualifies fast, moves on quickly, and doesn't dwell on a no.
  • Strong executive-level and consultative selling skills; focus on qualifying and closing quickly.
  • Enough CRM and territory-planning discipline to manage a defined account list, even though the role rewards speed and volume over long-term relationship depth.
  • This role requires someone who is a self-starting closer who can create a large pipeline of business within a short period of time.
