About the Role

Fitness & Lifestyle Group has an exciting opportunity for a Facilities / Maintenance Technician to join the team on a full-time basis. In this role, you will play an integral part in servicing Fitness First clubs, primarily in Sydney's northern suburbs, ensuring facilities and equipment are maintained to a high standard for a safe and functional environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform planned & reactive mechanical repairs and provide troubleshooting to gym equipment following club visit schedules to agreed service levels.
  • Ensure all logged maintenance jobs are followed up and completed in a timely manner.
  • Equipment removal and re-installation.
  • Document and maintain maintenance records and hazard identification, reporting any incidents or near misses through WHS systems.
  • Provide essential service audits, and work with suppliers with warranties and ordering spare parts.

Requirements

  • Be a self-starter and thrive in a fast-paced, physically demanding role.
  • Have effective communication skills both written and verbal and natural ability to build relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Have strong organisational and prioritisation skills and be comfortable working autonomously.
  • Be confident managing and coordinating external contractors.
  • Have a passion for the fitness industry and a willingness to learn.
  • Experience as a Facilities / Maintenance Technician.
  • Experience maintaining and working from a maintenance log system such as Service now or Jira.
  • Australian driver's license and clean driving record.
