About the Role
This role ensures every client family is presented with all service and merchandise options, contributing to the overall efficiency of the location and improving market share through community engagement. The position also involves overseeing team members, communicating performance feedback, and handling on-call duties.
Responsibilities
- Ensures every client family is presented with all service and merchandise options
- Contributes to the overall efficiency of the location by maintaining open and effective communication and accurate client files
- Acts to improve market share through participation in community events and relationships
- Carries out other projects/duties as assigned
- Oversees all Team Members participating in services, ensuring professional representation
- Communicates performance feedback to Team Members
- Works on-call/first call in rotation
- Transfers decedents, embalms, dresses, cosmetizes, and prepares deceased individuals
- Meets with client families to arrange personalized funeral services
- Completes tasks and details resulting from arrangement conferences
- Ensures proper paperwork, permits, and certificates are completed timely
- Conducts and attends funeral services regularly
- Leads all post-service follow-ups
Requirements
- Current state licensure for funeral directing & embalming
- Self-motivated and energetic
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Caring, empathetic, and committed to providing best-in-class service
- Sensitivity and knowledge of different philosophical systems and religions
- Knowledge of basic principles, values, ethics, ways of thinking, customs, practices, and their impact on human culture
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Valid state-issued driver's license with a clear driving record
