About the Role

RBC Borealis is seeking an experienced Principal Product Manager to lead the development of next-generation AI products for Personal Banking. This role involves translating advanced AI models into production-grade solutions, collaborating with AI experts, and driving responsible AI adoption within a regulated financial environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop product vision, positioning, and value proposition to support AI understanding, business prioritization, and adoption of solutions.
  • Identify market opportunities and define the product roadmap, focusing on innovative AI-driven solutions.
  • Set objectives and key results (OKRs) to measure product success and drive continuous improvement.
  • Lead the end-to-end product development process from ideation to launch.
  • Translate complex technical AI concepts into products that drive business value and adoption.
  • Implement agile methodologies for flexibility, rapid iteration, and responsiveness to feedback.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across Borealis and RBC.
  • Influence and inspire cross-functional teams, including business owners, operations, legal, and compliance.
  • Communicate product vision, strategy, and progress effectively to senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Foster a culture of innovation within the product team.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging AI technologies.
  • Champion a test-and-learn approach, promoting experimentation and data-driven decision-making.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of product management experience in a top-tier technology company or large enterprise, with a focus on AI/ML-based products.
  • In-depth experience managing a product throughout its entire lifecycle within a large, matrixed enterprise.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and driving alignment.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for innovation and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML concepts, a data-driven mindset, and experience with system evaluation, monitoring, and optimization.
  • Strong technical background with the ability to understand and discuss architectural concepts, trade-offs, and new opportunities with technical team members.
