About the Role
As a Graphics Hardware Validation Undergraduate Engineering Intern, you will gain hands-on experience validating Intel's discrete graphics platforms, ensuring their functionality, performance, quality, and product readiness. You will work alongside experienced engineers to develop and execute validation tests, analyze results, investigate issues, and support system-level debugging, gaining practical exposure to GPU and PC architecture, discrete graphics, laboratory equipment, Python automation, power and thermal validation, PCIe, operating systems, and system-level troubleshooting.
Responsibilities
- Execute platform and board validation tasks, including developing and implementing test plans to assess functionality and performance.
- Analyze test results to identify anomalies and assist in debugging functional and performance issues.
- Collaborate with hardware and software teams to ensure full platform readiness and high-quality deliverables.
- Support configuration testing and manufacturability assessments for data center platforms.
- Participate in benchmarking execution and validation of power and thermal characteristics.
- Contribute to hands-on projects while learning and applying knowledge relevant to Intel's business goals.
Requirements
- Candidate must be pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related STEM degree.
- Candidate must have 3+ months of educational or work experience with computer architecture or computer organization.
- Candidate must have 3+ months of experience with Lab equipment such as supplies/ oscilloscopes/ multimeters/ power supplies/ etc.
- Candidate must have 3+ months of experience with Windows drivers, operating systems, error logs, setting up/ configuring programs or experience with Linux operating systems and windows command line.
- Experience with discrete graphics add-in cards or mobile discrete graphics systems.
- Knowledge of current leading PC technology.
- Familiar with PC x86 architecture and excellent system level knowledge including CPU processor, multimedia, memory, PCIe, display technologies, power management, 3D graphics.
- Experience in building your own PC and computer hardware.
- Programming skills in Python or similar languages.
