About the Role
The Customer Energy Management & Partnerships Analyst supports the team through analysis and research, focusing on customer behavior, utility processes, and program development. This role involves data analysis, report generation, and collaboration with internal business units to understand customer needs related to climate action. The incumbent will also provide project coordination and stay informed about emerging technologies and business models.
Responsibilities
- Assist in leading departmental activities to draw insights from business unit data and stakeholder input, preparing reports with recommendations.
- Undertake data analysis to support departmental objectives, including customer segmentation for climate action, process evaluation, and calculations for rates, costs, and energy metrics.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, external researchers, and partners to understand customer goals, technology performance, and utility requirements.
- Conduct in-depth research on climate action, emerging technologies, policies, and business models, providing recommendations.
- Monitor climate-related projects and policies, assessing impacts and making recommendations for adjustments.
- Manage data for planning and reporting processes, validating data rigor and suggesting process enhancements.
- Act as a departmental technical support for various initiatives.
Requirements
- University degree in science, engineering, environmental studies, data science, data analytics, or a related technical field.
- 18-24 months of administrative/support/co-op experience in climate action, energy conservation programs, or the electrical industry is an asset.
- Master’s degree in a related technical field is an asset.
- Experience with SQL, Alteryx, Tableau, MS Project, CRM databases, Energy Star Portfolio Manager, and Save On Energy applications is preferred.
- Solid understanding of climate action and electrification, with strong data analytics, research, and communication skills.
- Advanced computer skills in MS-Office applications, particularly leveraging Microsoft Copilot for automation and agent development.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment with shifting responsibilities while executing tasks.
- Understanding of technological trends and their business impact.
- Technical understanding of electrical power distribution concerns and issues is beneficial.
- Account management, strategic sales, and relationship management skills.
- Ability to operate within a context of sales targets and customer service KPIs.
